RMCC Terms & Conditions
London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025

These terms and conditions apply to all people participating with a Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (RMCC) Charity Place in the above-named event, which is organised and operated by Tommy�s. By taking part in this event, each participant agrees to these terms and conditions. 

1.	Fundraising 

a)	I agree to pay RMCC the registration fee of �25 to secure my �Charity Place�. Registration fees are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another event, product or person. 

b)	I agree to fundraise a minimum of �350 for the RMCC. I understand that my registration fee doesn�t count towards my fundraising total. I also understand that Gift Aid doesn�t count towards my fundraising total.

c)	I agree to organise fundraising activities as an independent supporter of RMCC. I will therefore refer to raising money �in aid of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity�, rather than on RMCC�s behalf.

d)	I agree that I shall comply with any instructions or guidance provided by RMCC relating to my fundraising.

e)	I will be responsible for any costs, taxes or expenses incurred or arising in connection with raising my sponsorship. I will not deduct any costs unless otherwise agreed with RMCC.

f)	I agree to pay all of the proceeds raised to RMCC as soon as possible after the event (and subject to any agreed timescale), and in accordance with RMCC�s instructions. 

g)	I understand that if I am unable to complete my fundraising event, due to cancellation, injury or for any other reason, I must ask my sponsors if they would like their donations to be refunded. If said sponsorship has been donated via an online method or has already been sent to RMCC, the sponsor will need to contact RMCC directly to organise a refund.

h)	I shall encourage donors and/or sponsors to make gift aid declarations where eligible, which may enable RMCC to recover basic rate tax on such donations. 2.	Personal Data and Consent 

a)	I agree that RMCC can use the details that I have provided to discuss my event entry and fundraising activity with me and follow up on my progress.

b)	I agree that the information provided on this form will be entered onto the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025 console for registration and I will be contacted by the organisers as stated in their terms and conditions which can be found at https://llhm.co.uk/runner-terms-and-conditions.

c)	My personal information may also be used for the purposes of sending communications to me where I have confirmed that I would like to receive further information about the charity's work when signing up to fundraise for RMCC.

d)	All personal data held by us will be handled in accordance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in accordance with RMCC�s privacy statement which can be found at https://www.royalmarsden.org/privacy.

e)	I agree that, by fundraising for RMCC, I will make myself aware of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) regarding the use, storage and processing of any third-party data I may end up receiving or being in contact with as a result of my fundraising.

3.	Image and video content 

a)	I give RMCC permission to use photographs or videos taken of me to raise awareness or money for The Royal Marsden�s work. This includes, but isn�t limited to, literature; posters and exhibition displays; our website, social media, or in communication materials such as adverts in trade or consumer press on online. Images/film footage may be used by external companies, commissioned or employed by RMCC, for the production or publication of materials.  If I don�t wish my image to be used for promotional or marketing purposes, I will email charity@royalmarsden.org 

b)	I confirm that if I am an employee of a company that supports The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, I am happy for my photos to be shared with my employer and they may be used for advertising, publications, marketing material and any other documents that may be made available to the public.

c)	If I provide photographs or videos taken during my fundraising activity to RMCC, I agree that these may be used by RMCC for commercial and/or fundraising purposes. By sending these to RMCC, I also confirm that anyone featuring prominently in the photograph or video is aged 16 or over, and that they have consented to their image being used in this way.

d)	I understand that I may be photographed and/or filmed by the London Landmarks Half Marathon organisers or any third parties authorised by the Event Organisers, and that any such content captured at or within the Event Space may be used for any purpose the London Landmarks Half Marathon organisers sees fit. If I don�t wish to be the subject of any photography, I understand I should notify the Event Organiser via the contact form found at https://llhm.co.uk/contact. 


4.	Use of logo and branding

a)	I agree that I will only use the �in aid of� logo provided to me by RMCC and will not use any other RMCC branding without approval from RMCC.

b)	RMCC reserve the right to grant or refuse the use of our logo and branding.

c)	The Charity�s identity is protected by trademark and copyright law, and this must be acknowledged wherever the logo is used. The charity number must also be stated, and therefore the following should be used in its entirety on all communication featuring the brand identity: The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Registered Charity no. 1095197.


5.	Liability 

a)	I confirm that, if I am under 18, I have shown these terms and conditions to my parent/guardian, and they have agreed to accept responsibility for complying with these terms and conditions. I confirm that I will be at least 17 years old on Sunday 6 April 2025 (race day) and understand that I will not be able to take part otherwise. 

b)	I am confident that I am physically and mentally capable of taking part in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2025. If there is any doubt, I confirm that I will seek medical advice from my GP. 

c)	I understand that this event could be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of RMCC.

d)	I intend to run entirely at my own risk and confirm that RMCC shall not be liable for any accident, injury, loss or damage as a consequence of my participation.

e)	I will comply with any applicable laws and regulations relating to my fundraising activity, including obtaining any necessary licenses, consents or permissions e.g. if I am holding a raffle or lottery, or proposing to sell alcohol.

f)	I will not do anything that threatens RMCC�s reputation or name. If I do, RMCC has the right to ask me to stop my fundraising activity immediately.

g)	I will not cause any intentional harm or damage to any part of the London Landmarks Half Marathon route, associated assets, or event delivery partners assets whilst taking part in the event. I accept full liability if I do cause any harm or damage.

h)	I will endeavour to use reusable plastic such a reusable water bottles and will use the litter and recycling facilities available at the event.
